I thought Ty Fry was called after someone called Fry who lived there. Upper House would be Ty Uchaf.

The translation, as with all others for the FR line, is taken from the FR Chronology (electronic 2001) Gazetter, which reads

  • Capel Nazareth – bridge over the narrow lane by Nazareth chapel.
  • Pen-y-bryn (Top of the hill) – Temporary halt on the edge of Penrhyndeudraeth on a blind curve just beyond the northern end of Ty Fry, in regular use from 20th April 1957 to 5th November 1957, and occasionally until end of 1967 season when it was officially closed.
  • Ty Fry (Upper house) Curve
  • Gwyndy (White house)

As for its origins, no idea. There is no ref to Ty Uchaf in area, that I can see --Keith (talk) 16:41, 29 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
