Usage[edit]
- This template provides the for all File pages.
- The message is not shown if the page does not exist, to avoid distracting from the "use the upload form" message (which is provided by MediaWiki:Newarticletext).
Hiding the message[edit]
This template is marked with the CSS id and CSS class name ".file-namespace-editnotice", so that editors can apply their own CSS customisation if they wish, in particular to hide it. To hide the message, add
- #file-namespace-editnotice { display: none !important; }
into Special:Mypage/skin.css, which redirects to your current skin's CSS file (open in new tab/window to see).
