Mountaineer III[edit]

Should this locomotive be included? I would argue that it shouldn't. This is because, despite being a replica of an FR locomotive, it will not itself be an FR loco as it is being constructed by a private organisation. If in the future it becomes clear that it will be permanently based at the FR it could be included here, but at the moment I don't think this sis the case. Feel free to change it, it's a wiki after all. It seemed the logical place at the time. Edward Harris (talk) 17:07, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm still partly undecided. The new Gowrie presents similar problems. Perhaps a new category for non-FfWHR locos with strong FfWHR links could be included somehow (the category would need a snappier title though...). This could also include locos such as the C2 or Baldwin 608 which are privately owned but long term FfWHR residents. Ed - Eheaps (talk) 17:19, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think until they are running locos, here is as good a place as any. If they don't spend much time on the F&WHR after they are complete, then they can be relagated to the "Visiting Locos" list. Edward Harris (talk) 22:57, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm still not convinced it should be listed as an FR loco, but seeing as I haven't got a better solution yet I guess it is as good a place as any for the time being. Ed - Eheaps (talk) 09:52, 13 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Once we know its fate in the long run, we can make a further decision re its inclusion I reckon. RedDragon (Send me a telegram) 09:54, 13 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Gowrie II[edit]

It is a replica of an original engine though. As is Mountaineer III, see above.

109[edit]

Owned by Pete Waterman, so same arugments apply? Nigelbarry (talk) 16:34, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Would a "locomotives under construction/rebuild" section make sense. Most of WHR belongs there? Nigelbarry (talk) 16:34, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

109 should probably be removed form this list entirely and relegated to a lower status on other list pages. This Navbox is only meant to contain locomotives currently or formerly permanently resident on the FR and various WHRs. I'm still of the opinion that neither Mountaineer III or Gowrie II should appear here as they will both be visiting locos when they are completed, depsite being replicas of F&WHR locos...
