The FR has always used the spelling of waggon with two g's!

Not always, see the note at the top of the FR Wagons page that you get from the main Contents page which also uses the Wagons spelling. The Open Bogie Flat Waggons page I tweaked a bit uses both and I haven't altered that. It's worth remembering that before the coming of the board schools in the late 19th century spelling was not very consistent, even well-known authors used odd spellings. There are some who say that 'waggon' is a road vehicle and 'wagon' is for the railway. Some say 'waggon' is English and 'wagon' is American. Certainly this wiki seems to have both fairly interchangeably. Thanks for the comment, glad someone is reading! George Cash (talk) 11:48, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Fair enough! One discussion seemed to suggest we go for begin really different and use three g's. Hence I am a "Push-Pull Slate Wagggon Driver". Edward Harris (talk) 15:28, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pictures[edit]

George

A belated welcome to the halls of Festipedia

Re the Duffws picture you loaded. It doesnt matter what size picture you load, you can control its size via the display such as this

File:Duffws20110326RGC5603.JPG
100 pixels default right position

or

File:Duffws20110326RGC5603.JPG
200 pixels forces left

and position them

File:Duffws20110326RGC5603.JPG
234 pixels and centre

(edit look at the coding to see how to do this. The SQUA command forces it to go to a clear new line)

re the deletion of files - now look at the original. File:Duffws20110326RGC5603.JPG Only the Administrators can delete but that note is what is needed

Missing links in next/previous locations/stations panel's[edit]

Hi,

Working through FR parts of Festipedia, noticed the following links missing in the next/previous stations/location panel's:-

1) On the "Minffordd" page, "Minffordd Yard" is linked within the "Minfford" page but missing in the previous/next locations panel. It's mentioned as a previous location on the "Cae Ednyfed" page.

2) on the "Penrhyn" page there aren't any location links and the next station is linked as Tan-y-bwlch instead of Plas Halt. You must select the "Penrhyn Station" link to obtain more correct links. Might be worth re-viewing the links on/for Penrhyn Crossing.

3) "Cei Mawr" gives next next station as Tan-y-Bwlch, no mention of Tylers Curve / Plas Halt though both mentioned on "Penryhn Station"

4) "Tyler's Curve" no next station of "Plas Halt", though mentioned / linked within the page.

That gets me to Tan-y-bwlch where I now rest and take on water............

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Minor barnstar
You deserve one, you add detail to the carriage pages which most people would be unable to. Keep it up! RedDragon (talk) 15:06, 17 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Another Barnstar for you![edit]

Barnstar of the tedious but essential...
Well done for changing all the obsolete links around the wiki regarding carriages, namely Carriage 101 and Carriage 119! RedDragon (talk) 17:05, 1 February 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
