This was a construction site on the Deviation Project, namely a cutting just north of Gelliwiog, started in Summer 1969. (FRM 45). The material was mostly boulder clay, rather than the rock of other sites, and progress was slow until a Massey-Ferguson excavator was put on the job in Summer 1971.
