original caption to this photo included the following information: Watched by my youngest brother Keith, FR Double-Fairlie 0-4-4-0T No. 10 "Merddin Emrys" pulls into Minffordd station with a train from Porthmadog to Tan y Bwlch on Monday 26th August 1963. The driver is Bill Hoole, formerly of King's Cross "Top Shed" until retirement. The train is on the main running line, the crossover in the foreground is out of the loop at Minffordd and the right hand track is the long siding to the exchange yard with BR.
