Problems[edit]

The newspaper report is dated 22 December, 1899.

The accident occurred on the (previous?) Friday.

Where is there a calendar that confirms or denies that 22 Dec is that Friday? Was the accident on say 21 Dec which would imply that 22 Dec is say a Saturday?

This scanning error in the original text has an unclear meaning: "will a< d ba.1 the line clear"

The link to the newspaper article does not work, for unknown reasons. See "Faulty Links" below. FarleyBrook (talk) 08:15, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Because the NLW (unlike NLA) does not allow corrections, tags, comments, or lists, it is rather hard to keep track of articles that have been used, compared to articles that have yet to be checked. FarleyBrook (talk) 08:15, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The 22 December was a Friday, so the accident happened on the 15th. (useful website for dates - Timeanddate)
The bad scan reads "and had" (I've corrected it)

Thanks. FarleyBrook (talk) 07:45, 17 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
With corrected actual date, this article would need to be renamed (moved) to 1899-12-15 ! FarleyBrook (talk) 07:45, 17 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It is a pity that this website cannot accept dates in Festipedia format, such as "Day Log/1899-12-22" or "1899-12-22". No harm in asking www.timeanddate.com. FarleyBrook (talk) 07:51, 17 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Faulty Links[edit]

So that it is possible to keep track of the faulty links mentioned above, a suitable category has been created.

A message has been send to the website with these faulty links. FarleyBrook (talk) 08:14, 17 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
