I really don't like the layout at the moment with all the lines. It looks ugly to me. If you want to force text below a thumb or frame picture, either put a heading in the text or put <br clear="all" /> after the picture. Didnt know the <br clear="all" /> command - the "Back To:" lines were appearing in centre stage - even I didnt like that one Keith 14:34, 3 March 2007

Prince's 1955 Rebuild

Do we know anything about outside help with the rebuild? We know that in the 1960s the FR's firebars were produced by Glaslyn Foundry. In the 1930s jobs were given to Britannia Foundry - e.g. when cutting down Kerr Stuart 4415 to fit under Rhiw Plas road bridge. The task I have in mind is the welding of new metal sheets into Prince's saddle tank - a difficult task as recent experience demonstrates. The weld can be spotted on Prince's saddle tank from during the rebuild onwards. It would have been tempting to put the saddle tank onto a wagon and take it across The Cob and get one of the foundries to sort it out.MarkTemple (talk) 12:42, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
