Template:Stations&Locations/doc

{{Stations&Locations}} can be used to summarise information about a station or location, usually at the top of an article. If co-ordinates for the location are given in decimal format it invokes {{coord}} to display the co-ordinates at the top of the page.

Usage

The infobox may be added by pasting the template as shown below into an article and then filling in the desired fields. Any parameters left blank or omitted will not be displayed.

Parameters

Any parameters left blank or omitted will not be displayed.

Parameter	Explanation
image	Image name: abc.jpg, xpz.png, 123.gif, etc.
caption	Caption for image, if needed. Try to include date of photo and the photographer.
type	Type of location
status	Status of location, e.g. Open
Bridgename	If the location is a bridge, the name of the bridge. As the name of the location appears at the top of the infobox this should normally be omitted.
Tunnelname	If the location is a tunnel, the name of the tunnel. As the name of the location appears at the top of the infobox this should normally be omitted.
Crossname	If the location is a crossing, the name of the crossing. As the name of the location appears at the top of the infobox this should normally be omitted.
Constnumb	The number assigned to the location during construction
Opernumb	The operational number of the location
latnorm	Latitude of location in form DD:MM:SS.SSW (or E)
lonnorm	Longitude of location in form DD:MM:SS.SSN (or S)
latdec	Latitude of location in decimal format
londec	Longitude of location in decimal format
osgr	Ordnance Survey grid reference
wikipedia	URL of English Wikipedia article about the location
year1 year2 year3	Up to 3 dates for significant events.
event1 event2 event3	Up to significant events. Make sure event numbers match the date numbers.
nextloc nextloc2 nextloc3	Up to 3 locations heading towards Blaenau Ffestiniog
prevstat	Previous station, i.e. next station towards Caernarfon
nextstat	Next station towards Blaenau Ffestiniog
prevloc prevloc2 prevloc3	Up to 3 previous locations, i.e. locations heading towards Caernarfon
nextloc nextloc2 nextloc3	Up to 3 locations heading towards Blaenau Ffestiniog
