The departure from Beddgelert at 12.25 followed a lay-over of 15 mins.

November 1923 saw some minor changes to the service, notably an early departure from Portmadoc, with the loss of another train :

1924[edit]

By May 1924 there were more trains running again, returning to the previous season's 4 daily through trains in each direction, plus additional trains between Portmadoc and Beddgelert :

|| ||a.m.||.||p.m.||.||.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||9.50||1.15||3.10||5.35||---|| ||Beddgelert||7.15||.||.||.||.||8.16|| ||Portmadoc||8.00||12.58||3.56||5.24||8.15||9.00||

July 1924 saw the following similar service running. The service was an intensive one, with 4 daily through trains from Dinas to Portmadoc, and 5 leaving Portmadoc for Dinas :

|| ||a.m.||.||p.m.||.||.||Thur & Sat only|| ||Dinas Junction||8.10||9.50||12.00||3.05||5.40||---|| ||South Snowdon||9.01||10.57||12.52||3.59||7.00||---|| ||Beddgelert||9.30||12.15||1.17||4.58||7.29||8.30|| ||Portmadoc||10.12||12.58||---||5.39||8.11||9.12||

The departures from South Snowdon at 1057 and 7.00 followed lay-overs of 17 mins and 32 mins respectively.

The departures from Beddgelert at 12.15 and 4.58 followed lay-overs of 53 mins and 34 mins respectively.

|| ||a.m.||.||.||p.m.||.||.||Thur & Sat only|| ||Portmadoc||9.38||11.25||1.25||2.25||4.13||5.40||7.35|| ||Beddgelert||10.24||12.11||2.06||3.25||4.56||6.24||8.17|| ||South Snowdon||10.56||1.00||.||3.57||5.32||6.57||---|| ||Dinas Junction||11.44||1.48||---||4.45||6.18||7.45||---||

The departures from South Snowdon at 1.00 followed a lay-over of 19 mins.

The departure from Beddgelert at 3.25 followed a lay-over of 18 mins.

By August 1924 there was a minor extension in the service between Beddgelert and Portmadoc. This timetable saw the service at its most intensive, with 5 daily through trains in each direction, plus 2 additional trains between Portmadoc and Beddgelert. This level of intensity was never to be repeated :

|| ||a.m.||.||p.m.||.||.||.||Thur & Sat only|| ||Dinas Junction||8.10||9.50||12.00||---||3.05||5.40||---|| ||Beddgelert||9.30||12.15||1.17||3.15||4.58||7.29||8.30|| ||Portmadoc||10.12||12.58||2.05||3.57||5.39||8.11||9.12||

By September 1924 the railway was running a very cut-back service of just 2 daily through trains in each direction :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||9.42||4.22|| ||Portmadoc||11.55||6.35||

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||9.10||3.45|| ||Dinas Junction||11.40||6.12||

Between 15th December and 30th January, 1924, no service operated, the first time that there had been a seasonal break in service.

1925[edit]

On 30th January 1925 a minimal service of 2 trains ran between Portmadoc and Beddgelert - and then on Fridays only - for Portmadoc market :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||9.45||4.45|| ||Beddgelert||10.35||5.30||

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Beddgelert||11.00||5.45|| ||Portmadoc||11.45||6.30||

From 7th March 1925, in addition to the above timetable, two additional trains ran from Dinas to South Snowdon - on Saturdays only - "for Caernarvon market" :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Dinas||11.55||7.49|| ||South Snowdon||12.47||8.35||

|| ||p.m.||.|| ||South Snowdon||1.00||8.45|| ||Dinas||1.55||9.40||

From 1st June 1925, trains once again operated on the whole line between Dinas and Portmadoc, with 3 weekday through trains in each direction :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||weekdays only|| ||Dinas Junction||9.50||1.03||3.47|| ||South Snowdon||10.50||2.05||5.23|| ||Beddgelert||11.20||3.01||5.53|| ||Portmadoc||12.12||3.46||6.38||

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||weekdays only|| ||Portmadoc||11.30||2.15||4.02|| ||Beddgelert||12.20||3.03||4.44|| ||South Snowdon||12.55||3.36||5.22|| ||Dinas Junction||1.50||4.31||6.13||

The summer service, from 13th July to 19th September 1925, saw a fuller service (though reduced from previous years), with a minimum 3 through trains in each direction :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||not Sat.||p.m.||Fri|| ||Dinas Junction||9.50||12.00||---||4.30||---|| ||South Snowdon||10.45||12.55||---||5.24||---|| ||Beddgelert||11.20||1.35||2.20||6.05||8.05|| ||Portmadoc||12.09||2.20||3.05||6.50||8.50||

From September 21st to October 2nd, 1925, there was only one through train running in each direction, with additional trains between Portmadoc and Beddgelert :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.45||---|| ||South Snowdon||---||1.46||---|| ||Beddgelert||11.20||2.15||5.55|| ||Portmadoc||12.04||3.02||6.38||

From October 5th, 1925, the only change from the timetable above was that the last train only ran on Fridays :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||Fri|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.45||---|| ||Beddgelert||11.20||2.15||5.55|| ||Portmadoc||12.04||3.02||6.38||

1926[edit]

Throughout the summer season, from 24th May to 20th September, the following service offered 2 through trips in each direction, plus an extra train between Portmadoc and Beddgelert :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.55||4.40|| ||South Snowdon||---||2.00||5.38|| ||Beddgelert||12.20||3.00||6.10|| ||Portmadoc||1.05||3.45||6.56||

The departure from Beddgelert at 3.00 followed a lay-over of 35 mins. This was the introduction of the longer lay-over (to reappear 2 years later).

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||.|| ||Portmadoc||11.20||2.14||5.16|| ||Beddgelert||12.11||3.01||6.05|| ||South Snowdon||---||3.31||6.35|| ||Dinas Junction||---||4.25||7.30||

From 20th September, 1926, and throughout the winter, just one through train a day ran in each direction :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.45|| ||South Snowdon||1.46|| ||Beddgelert||2.15|| ||Portmadoc||3.00||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||3.10|| ||Beddgelert||3.53|| ||South Snowdon||4.26|| ||Dinas Junction||5.20||

1927[edit]

In March of 1927 the Company went into receivership.

The spring service, from 1st March, 1927 saw an additional service between Portmadoc and Beddgelert. The timetable also noted that on a Friday, the Portmadog departure ran 30 minutes later :

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.45|| ||Beddgelert||11.55||2.15|| ||Portmadoc||12.42||3.00||

|| ||a.m.||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||11.00||3.30|| ||Beddgelert||11.45||4.17|| ||Dinas Junction||---||5.41||

The summer service, from 1st June, 1927, had two daily through trips in each diriection, plus the Portmadoc to Beddgelert service. Timings were very similar to the previous year's :

|| ||p.m.||.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||1.00||4.45|| ||Beddgelert||12.20||3.00||6.10|| ||Portmadoc||1.05||3.46||6.55||

|| ||a.m.||p.m.||.|| ||Portmadoc||11.26||2.14||5.16|| ||Beddgelert||12.11||3.01||6.05|| ||Dinas Junction||---||4.25||7.31||

From 11th July, 1927, there were more trains, and South Snowdon became an additional starting/terminating point. There were, however, only 2 through trains daily in each direction :

|| ||p.m.||.||.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.00||---||4.20|| ||South Snowdon||12.04||12.58||---||5.21|| ||Beddgelert||12.30||1.27||3.03||5.48|| ||Portmadoc||1.10||2.08||3.43||6.30||

|| ||p.m.||.||.||.|| ||Portmadoc||10.45||12.36||2.14||4.00|| ||Beddgelert||11.33||1.30||2.58||4.47|| ||South Snowdon||11.59||1.59||---||5.16|| ||Dinas Junction||---||2.55||---||6.12||

From 26th September, 1927, a cut down winter service saw no through trains at all. At the northern end, one train ran daily from Dinas to Beddgelert :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.45|| ||Beddgelert||2.05||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Beddgelert||3.08|| ||Dinas Junction||4.23||

From December, 1927, this train service only ran on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

At the southern end, one train ran - on a Friday only - from Portmadoc to Croesor Junction! :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||11.45|| ||Croesor Junction||12.05||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Croesor Junction||4.10|| ||Portmadoc||4.29||

1928[edit]

In June 1928 only one daily through train was operating :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.45|| ||Beddgelert||3.00|| ||Portmadoc||3.43||

(The departure from Beddgelert at 3.00 followed a lay-over of 34 mins.)

||Portmadoc||1.42|| ||Beddgelert||3.00|| ||Dinas Junction||4.25||

The departure from Beddgelert at 3.00 followed a lay-over of 55 mins.

On the 11th June, 1928, a further service was added between Portmadoc and Beddgelert :

|| ||p.m.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.45|| ||South Snowdon||---||1.38|| ||Beddgelert||12.15||3.00|| ||Portmadoc||1.00||3.43||

||Portmadoc||11.20||1.42|| ||Beddgelert||12.04||3.00|| ||South Snowdon||---||3.35|| ||Dinas Junction||---||4.25||

The following timetable ran in July, 1928, up to July 21st, with just one through train a day in each direction :

|| ||not Sat.||Sat.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.00||12.00|| ||South Snowdon||12.56||12.56|| ||Beddgelert||2.01||1.52|| ||Portmadoc||2.47||2.38||

The departure from Beddgelert at 2.01 and 1.52 followed lay-overs of 39 mins and 30 mins respectively.

|| ||not Sat.||Sat.|| ||Portmadoc||12.50||1.54|| ||Beddgelert||3.05||3.05|| ||South Snowdon||3.34||3.34|| ||Dinas Junction||4.30||4.30||

The departure from Beddgelert at 3.05 followed lay-overs of 31 mins or 20 mins.

July 23rd, 1928, onwards saw a slightly improved service between Portmadoc and South Snowdon, in addition to the 2 daily through trains in each direction (only 1 on Saturdays). In places the timetable proved to be slightly different by several minutes from the one earlier published as scheduled to be operating from this date :

|| ||p.m.||not Sat.||Sat.||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||---||12.00||12.00||---|| ||South Snowdon||12.02||12.56||12.56||4.07|| ||Beddgelert||12.28||2.01||1.52||4.34|| ||Portmadoc||1.10||2.47||2.38||5.19||

|| ||a.m.||not Sat.||Sat.||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||10.40||1.10||1.54||2.50|| ||Beddgelert||11.28||3.05||3.05||3.35|| ||South Snowdon||11.56||3.34||3.34||4.04|| ||Dinas Junction||---||4.30||4.30||---||

The 2.50 p.m. train from Portmadoc ran 10 minutes later on Saturdays.

The 12.00 departure from Dinas carried a fully licensed buffet car as far as Beddgelert, this returning on the 3.05.

There was a slight change to the service in August 1928 whereby the 12.00 from Dinas spent a few minutes longer at Beddgelert, arriving at Portmadoc at 2.51, and a couple of other departures from Portmadoc were later by a few minutes.

From September 2nd, 1928, only the two afternoon daily through trains were retained :

|| ||p.m.||.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.00||12.00|| ||South Snowdon||12.56||12.56|| ||Beddgelert||2.01||1.52|| ||Portmadoc||2.47||2.38||

|| ||p.m.||.|| ||Portmadoc||1.10||1.54|| ||Beddgelert||3.05||3.05|| ||South Snowdon||3.34||3.34|| ||Dinas Junction||4.30||4.30||

From 24th September, 1928 the service was reduced to just one daily through train in each direction :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.30|| ||Portmadoc||2.36||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||3.00|| ||Dinas Junction||5.11||

In October 1928 this was reduced further to one train from Dinas to Beddgelert, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.30|| ||Beddgelert||1.50||

1929[edit]

From 20th May, 1929, a through train ran the whole route again, but still only on three days a week, namely Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.30|| ||Portmadoc||2.37 - 2.40||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||c3.55|| ||Dinas Junction||6.04||

During the summer of 1929 (July 8th to September 21st) a single weekday service (i.e. Saturdays excepted) ran in each direction :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.22|| ||Portmadoc||2.28 - 2.38||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Portmadoc||c4.00|| ||Dinas Junction||6.10||

In October, 1929, the three day service resumed (i.e. Monday, Wednesday & Friday).

1930[edit]

With the railway in serious decline, the summer timetable from 7th July to 20th September 1930 showed only one daily train in each direction. This was, however, only a three day service (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and only between Dinas and Beddgelert - though running on to Portmadoc "if required" :

|| ||p.m.|| ||Dinas Junction||12.22|| ||South Snowdon||1.18|| ||Beddgelert||1.49|| ||Portmadoc||2.22||

|| ||p.m.|| ||Beddgelert||4.45|| ||South Snowdon||5.20|| ||Dinas Junction||6.10||

On September 22nd the service stopped for the winter.

1931[edit]
