Robert Norman Thompson was the youngest son of Livingston Thompson. A physician in Dublin, he took over Chairmanship of the Festiniog Railway Company in February 1905, a role previously held by his father and uncle. He retained the role until his death on 19th May 1907.

Sometimes referred to as Norman R. Thompson.
