Stwlan Dam Road Crossing is a level crossing between Valvehouse Crossing and Cwmorthin Bridge, on the downward gradient towards Tanygrisiau. It is an Automatic Crossing (AOCL) under a Light Railway Order.
The road here provides access to Stwlan Dam and also to the village at Cwmorthin. This crossing allows access to the village without having to pass through the tight confines of the Dolrhedyn Road Bridge.
