WHHR carriage formations

The carriages of the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway's operational fleet are normally marshalled in Semi-fixed sets. These sets vary from one period of operation to another, with exact make up depending on the operating requirements at the time.

2012-2019 -

Set A 2 - 7 - 9

Set B 2 - 7 - 9 - 10

2020 -

With Covid-19 affecting most of the whhr's services, it operated a 5 car alternating set with the Pen y Mount end carriage changing with the weather.

2021 -

With the addition of the Pickering coach during the summer, the set change and was as follows:

Set A (pre Summer) 2 - 6 - 7 - 9 - 10* - 29*

Set A (During Summer) 6 - 7 - 9 - 10- 8

Set A (After Summer) 6 - 7 - 9 - 8

2022 -

Set A 2 - 6 - 7 - 9

Set B 8 - 10 - 9

Set S 8 - 9 - 7 (Used for Santa specials)

2023 -

Set A 2 - 6 - 7 - (8/25)

Set B1 8 - 10 - 25

Set B2 8 -10 - (6) - 7; Used for Easter Trains
