NWNGR 2-plank open wagons

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

The NWNGR had a considerable number of 2-plank fixed-side four-wheeled open wagons, in 2 ton, 2.5 ton and 3 ton sizes. These were used for general traffic but also for coal to some of the quarries, and slate on the return journey, a commendable economy. They were sometimes referred to as 'Slate Box Wagons' There may have been about 50 of these, but the situation is not clear as in some lists they were considered to be slate wagons and sometimes Open Goods. Sample numbers 2, 57, 37, 27, 59, 30, 52, 155.
