The only connection this 3-compartment coach has, is that it was built using a Hudson open wagon chassis in 1980 at Gelert's Farm Works.

Due to the nature of its construction, it acquired the name of the Hudson "toastrack".

Subsequently, in 2005, it was converted to a disabled coach.

It acquired the nickname “old toastie” when No. 42 was rebuilt.
